Many of the products from Dermalogica and Decleor contain ingredients from nature and one of those ingredients is mint. As well as being packed with vitamins A, C, and B6, mint is known as a powerful toner, skin invigorator and lip plumper, amongst other things. We’ve put together a list of our favourite mint-containing products to show exactly what it does.
Dermalogica Multi-Active Toner
As we mentioned above, mint is an effective toner, and this one from Dermalogica used balm mint to cool and soften the skin. It also contains lavender to soothe and purify, arnica and cucumber to calm and freshen and aloe vera to reduce inflammation, making this a real powerhouse from nature’s kitchen.
Mint is a truly refreshing ingredient and actually makes the skin feel tingly when applied. This gel contains peppermint water to give you a really fresh feeling whilst washing away any dirt and bacteria from the day. It’s completely paraben-free and lathers into a soft foam when applied to a dampened face to remove excess sebum.
Dermalogica Environmental Control Deodorant
We all know that mint smells great which is why this all-natural deodorant from Dermalogica is formulated on a base of mint, along with camomile and aloe, to ensure it smells great without any risk of irritation. It also contains coriander, parsley, clove and hyssop to neutralise odour as well as ylang ylang, lavender, eucalyptus leaf, lemon peel, rosemary leaf and tea tree leaf oils for their bacteria-killing properties.
Dermalogica Oil Control Lotion
This lotion from Dermalogica is an absolute gift from above if you suffer with oily skin and are prone to breakouts. Just a little of this feather-light lotion, which balm mint to cool and calm the skin, will help to reduce sebum production, give the face a mattified appearance and kill the bacteria which is responsible for creating spots.
Dermalogica Ultra Sensitive Tint SPF30
This is actually one of our favourite products as it just does SO much. As well as providing a high factor of sun protection for the face, it also offers a subtle tint of colour to give you light coverage as well as containing calming properties (thanks to balm mint again) which will stop your skin from looking red and irritated. If you struggle with sensitive skin, finding products which do each of these things can be a nightmare, so finding one product which does it all is almost magical!
