Children in the Salon

At The Lichfield Beauty Salon, we strive to create a calm, professional and relaxing environment for all our clients. Our treatments are designed to be a time for rest, wellbeing and focus – both for clients and for the therapists delivering them.

We understand that, on occasion, childcare arrangements may change unexpectedly and bringing a child to an appointment may feel unavoidable. However, for reasons of safety, comfort and professionalism, we are not able to routinely accommodate children in the salon during treatments.

Our Approach

Our salon environment contains professional equipment, hot tools, electrical devices and treatment products that are not suitable for children. In addition, many treatments require a quiet, uninterrupted setting to ensure both effective results and client safety.

For these reasons, we kindly ask that clients attend appointments without children wherever possible.

Exceptional Circumstances

We recognise that rare and unforeseen situations can arise. In these exceptional cases, the following must apply:

• Children must be supervised at all times by the accompanying adult
• Children must remain seated quietly and not move around the salon
• Prams, pushchairs and toys must not obstruct walkways or treatment areas
• The treatment must not be disrupted or compromised in any way

If a child becomes unsettled, noisy or mobile, the treatment may need to be paused or, if necessary, stopped altogether. This decision will always be made with safety and professionalism in mind.

Therapist Discretion

Our therapists reserve the right to decline or discontinue a treatment if they feel that the presence of a child could affect safety, treatment quality or the experience of other clients.

This is never a personal judgement, but a professional responsibility we take seriously.
